Item Details
A 19th century hand colored lithograph titled Flower Girl in Holland by George Hitchcock (American 1850-1913). This gentle depiction features a young flower girl going house to house selling her blooms. The flowers have been hand-colored in bright red, blue, yellow and white, to stand out against the sepia-toned background. George Hitchcock spent most of his career living and painting in the Netherlands, and remained there until his death. Signed in plate to the lower left ‘Geo. Hitchcock OB XXXV – 1887’
