Vintage Chinese Doll
Item Details
A vintage Chinese doll consisting of painted clay with mohair beard and mustache. This doll has a simple stylized body with elaborately hand painted clothing and no moveable limbs. He stands upon a base impressed seal mark impressed to the base. The head is separate and sits atop the body. It has been hand painted and adorned with black mohair. Circa late 1920s.
Condition
- paint flaking in spots
- headdress missing small pieces
- clay chipped near neck and ball joint of the head. Head has become detached.
