An antique Spanish Colonial painting on board of a seated woman. The image shows the woman wearing a hat with plumage and a purple dress and blue shawl. There are drapes overhead, scrolling decorations on the sides and flowers on the floor beside the sitter.

Collected in the late 19th and early 20th century and donated to a Private Midwestern Institution in 1938
Sold to enhance and preserve the Institution’s mission-relevant Collections

Condition

- painted surface shows some cracks, but not through the board.
- may have faded over time, but generally clean and clear.
