A pair of antique Mexican wax figures of peasants, including a woman carrying a basket of pottery and a man carrying vegetables. The wax vegetables and clothing are made from thin sheets of wax. Please note the condition.

Collected in the late 19th and early 20th century and donated to a Private Midwestern Institution in 1938
Sold to enhance and preserve the Institution’s mission-relevant Collections

Condition

- Both figures show some losses, particularly to vegetables.
- Woman’s arm is detached but present.
- Most pots have come out of woman’s basket but are present
