Item Details

A Chinese Republic Period (1912-1949) window screen made from peach wood and walnut, with a dark stain. Boasting of a centrally carved design featuring cranes in a marsh; an upper finial design of lotus flowers and vines, and lower carving featuring peonies; backed with green silk with a light mesh like covering, and painted in an earthy palette of green, brown, blue, orange, gold and white.

- missing mesh over silk in areas; one missing wood piece.
