An encapsulated 1853 O Liberty Seated silver half dollar. Coin was found during the excavation of the shipwreck SS Republic. Designer: Thomas Sully/Christian Gobrecht. Mintage: 1,328,000. Metal Content: 90% silver, 10% copper. Diameter: 30 mm. Weight: 12.4 grams. Wooden display box measures 10 1/2′ × 7 1/2′ × 2′. Good condition.
