Item Details
A pair of lithograph portraits by Thomas McKenney and James Hall. These are from History of The Indian Tribes of North America, a three-volume biography encyclopedia published by Rice, Rutter & Co. Included are Nesouaquoit: A Fox Chief, and plate number 91 Notchimine: An Ioway Chief. These works are presented with warm toned cream mats, under glass, in black wooden frames, wired for hanging.
Condition
- some minor discoloration; pierced backing paper; Notchimine has a white replacement backing paper; sticker residue to the glass of Nesouaquoit
