Japanese Fukagawa Porcelain Teacup and Saucer

Item Details

A Fukagawa Japanese porcelain teacup and saucer. The teacup and saucer are crafted from white porcelain and glazed in vibrant vermilion with bamboo and paulownia leaves rendered in delicate pastel shades. The saucer is marked with the Koransha orchid mark in gold tone glaze. Both the saucer and cup are marked ‘Made by Fukagawa’ (深川造 Fukagawa tsukuru), with a mountain mark present above the cup’s mark. 1938.0387
