Antique Spanish Colonial Hammered Copper Bowl

Item Details

An antique Spanish Colonial hammered copper bowl dated 1850. There is an inscription around the inside bottom of the bowl reading ‘Pa el uso de mi duena’ and ‘Ano Dei 1850’. It also has floral designs around the inside sides and in the center of the bowl.

Collected in the late 19th and early 20th century and donated to a Private Midwestern Institution in 1938
Sold to enhance and preserve the Institution’s mission-relevant Collections

Condition

metal is bent and dented in several places. some possible old restorations around the rim
