Stone Statue of a Woman

Item Details

A stone statue of a woman. This piece presents a female figure wearing a long skirt, with parts of the body intentionally left out of the design, reminiscent of an archaeological artifact. The figure is sculpted in light grey stone, and is presented on a dark stone cube with felt pads to the underside. There are no visible maker’s marks.

- item chipped to front of waist, with loss to carving; small chips on one side of hip and near base of skull.
