Antique German Beer Stein
Item Details
An antique German beer stein from the early 18th Century with a ceramic body and pewter top rim, lid and base. The body is white and is decorated under the glaze with hand drawn flowers in blue, yellow, sepia and green with sepia borders at the top and bottom. The pewter base has a scalloped skirt and four feet with lion’s heads. The top is also scalloped, has a ball thumb lift, a five band hinge and a handle reinforcement strap.

Condition
- ceramic body is cracked at top, but held solidly by pewter top.
- pewter base is bent in several places.
