A limited edition serigraph on paper titled Planetaria by listed artist Don Werner (American, 1929 – 2010), dated 1993. The work depicts an abstracted composition with organic shapes and gradients from dark to light. To the bottom print margin, the work is numbered 6 out of an edition of 16, titled, signed, and dated. The print is presented unmounted and without a frame.
Donald Lewis Werner was an American photographer, painter, and graphic designer born in Fresno, California in 1929. He studied at Fresno State College with Adolf and Ella Odorfer and Jane Gale. He was in Who’s Who in American Art and exhibited work at Gallery 1984, the Fresno Art Museum, the National Arts Club, and the American Museum of Natural History. His works can be found in various collections including the Smithsonian Institute and the Fresno Art Museum.
