WWII Era Army Uniforms and Portable First Aid Kit

A collection of military items from the Second World War. This grouping contains a pair of Army uniforms, a pair of hats and a container of portable field dressings. Both uniforms are from the Army, with one bearing staff sergeant chevron patches and patch belonging to the Advanced Sections Communication Zone: European Theater of Operations which was responsible for logistics for the United States during the Allied campaign against the Axis in Europe with the patch depicting a lightning bolt breaking golden chains; and both uniforms having an Honorary Sevice patch above the respective right breast pockets. The hat pairing is a formal and field caps; with the formal cap featuring brass clasps and a center medallion bearing the seal of the United States Armed Forces. The field dressings are held in a sealed tin container that is bright reddish orange in tone and is held in a nylon and cloth pouch that features metal loops to attach to bags or clothing for ease of transport. The uniform sizes are present on interior tags on the respective shirts and pants.

Condition

- various degrees of light wear and fading on the uniforms; some rust on the field dressing container; field dressing container has not been opened; stamps on the kit pouch are faded.
