Antique Central American Carved Coconut Bank

Item Details

An antique Central American carved coconut bank with mother-of-pearl inlay eyes. The coconut bank is carved with a stylized face on one end with an open mouth. The rest of the body features figural vignettes and floral motifs. A slot is carved in the top of the bank alongside two holes strung with a short twine handle. Unmarked. 1938.0297
