A set of three pieces of maritime-themed art. Featured is an offset lithograph on paper after a 1909 illustration titled The Jolly Fisherman by listed artist John Hassall (1868-1948). The print is a reproduction poster after Hassall’s renowned Great Northern Railway travel poster for Skegness in Lincolnshire, England. The print, published by King and McGaw, includes the text ‘Skegness Is SO Bracing’ to the borders around the image. It is presented under glass in a black plastic frame with a sawtooth hanger to the verso. Also featured are two paintings on paper, each done by the same artist. One depicts a crayfish in hues of pink, while the other depicts a fish in side profile in hues of purple, brown, green and black. Each is signed by hand to the lower margin; however, no clear artist attribution could be made. The paintings are matted in cream and presented under glass in black wooden frames fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
