An original oil on canvas on board painting of a somber winter landscape at dusk depicting a farmstead scene with stream and trees in the foreground with red painted barns in the distance. The ground is covered in snow and the ominous sky has a hint of orange on the horizon. The painting is unsigned and is presented in a lovely deep and ornate gesso over wood frame with gold painted finish.
Condition
- fair, the painting has a fine texture to the varnish and the frame shows wear to the outer edges.
