Antique Tapestry Wall Hangings

Item Details

A pair of antique tapestry wall hangings. The wall hanging display large sprays of pale pink, red, and white flowers set against a cream colored ground. The floral elements are surrounded by pale green and coral colored borders. Brass rings and poles present at top of both pieces.

Collected in the late 19th and early 20th century and donated to a Private Midwestern Institution in 1938
Sold to enhance and preserve the Institution’s mission-relevant Collections

Condition

Wear consistent with age; general discoloration; hanging poles both display minor damage.
