An oil painting on canvas, titled Poem, by artist Joan Abelove. This painting, which comes from Abelove’s Vignettes series, depicts an abstract, rolling countryside featuring segmented plots of land and multistory buildings that rest below a textured, cream colored horizon. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature. The canvas is wrapped over a wooden stretcher with hanging wire affixed to the verso. Written to the stretcher is information regarding the artist, title and date, listed 1976.

- 3.0" scratch to lower left center of canvas; small areas of paint loss to lower center and right edge; several larger areas of paint loss to lower left; some wear on corners of canvas.
