A pair of offset lithographs on paper with patriotic American themes. Included in this selection is the Bicentennial Poster of Lexington, Massachusetts, titled What a Glorious Morning for America, designed by listed watercolor painter Gracia Parkhill Dayton. The print, captured in red, white, and blue, depicts a grid of patriotic imagery, including Paul Revere and a Betsy Ross flag, along with text reading ‘1775-1975’ and ‘Lexington.’ There is a note written in pen under ‘Lexington’ reading ‘With best wishes & love to Sally – Gracia Dayton ’78.’ Also included is an offset lithograph poster featuring a reproduction of a print, titled Miz America by printmaker Dennis Beall (born 1929), which depicts a nude female posing on a chair surrounded by an American flag-inspired border. There is an in-plate title and signature beneath the main image, and text referencing a show at San Francisco’s Hansen Galleries to the lower margin. Both prints are unframed.
