A lithograph on paper after John James Audubon, titled Arvicola Pennsylvanicus. This print depicts two meadow mice scurrying through a dirt patch surrounded by tall grass, which overlooks a rolling countryside with barns to the distance. To the lower margins is a printed inscription denoting the animal’s scientific name and artist credit. The print is presented under glass beneath layered matting in a black wooden frame featuring a gold inlay liner and hanging wire to the verso.
