A lithograph after John W. Audubon’s Aplodontia Leporina. This print on paper depicts a monochromatic rendering of a mountain beaver posed on a rock, staring forward with a slight snarl. To the lower margins is a printed inscription denoting the beaver’s scientific name and artist credit. The print is presented under glass beneath a single-layered mat in a black wooden frame featuring a gold tone liner and hanging wire to the verso.

- small tear to top edge towards left; foxing and stains to multiple areas; creasing to lower margin; toning to mat; wear to frame finish at corners.
