An Abraham Lincoln bronze tone metal bookend. The bookend depicts a bust in profile of the 16th president who served from 1861 until 1865, at the time of his assassination. Lincoln is perhaps best known for his efforts to abolish slavery and as Commander in Chief of the Union Army during the time of the Civil War. The bookend has a smooth back and is unmarked by the manufacturer.
