Roberto Liberty Oil Painting on Paper of a Pompeian Dancing Maenad
Item Details
An oil painting on paper by Roberto Liberty. This is believed to be after a print by Giovanni Battista Piranesi (Italian, 1720-1778) of an Ancient Pompeian fresco from the Villa of Cicerone. It depicts a dancing maenad, draped in pale blue gossamer fabric. This is presented with a blue mat, under glass in a gold tone gesso frame that is wired for hanging.

- minor edge wear to frame; minor crackling to painting; minor residue to glass.
