Wesley Kime Original Urban Scene Watercolor

Item Details

An original watercolor on paper by Wesley Kime (Los Angeles, b. 1929) illustrating an urban street-scape with a predominant grouping of residential buildings with advertising billboard to the left. To the verso is a second watercolor painting which is unsigned, of a bright orange corner building in an urban city. Known for his cityscapes, these watercolors are true to the artist’s signature style. The painting is signed in the lower right and is presented unframed.

Wesley Kime pursued dual careers in art (an interest from childhood) and medicine. He studied at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and was respected as a pathologist at the Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. After retiring from medicine, he painted full time with a concentration on portraits and urban cityscapes.
