Wesley Kime Original Urban Scene Watercolor - "Maidenform"

An original watercolor on paper by Wesley Kime (Los Angeles, b. 1929) illustrating an urban street-scape with a predominant advertising billboard ‘I Dreamed I Was A Maidenform Bra’, to the left with buildings, small figures and street car tracks in the distance. Known for his cityscapes, theis watercolor is true to the artist’s signature style. The painting is signed in the lower right and is presented unframed. To the verso is a label from the Eisele Gallery of Cincinnati.

Wesley Kime pursued dual careers in art (an interest from childhood) and medicine. He studied at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and was respected as a pathologist at the Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. After retiring from medicine, he painted full time with a concentration on portraits and urban cityscapes.
