Antique Chinese Embroidered Silk Purse

Item Details

An antique Chinese embroidered silk purse. The drawstring purse is decorated metallic thread embroidery. The embroidery depicts a large vase with the Chinese character meaning ‘content’ (安), and a large double gourd with the characters meaning ‘good luck’ (大吉) on the reverse. The purse features a corded handle and tassel ornaments. 1938.P3
