An early 20th century hand-knotted Persian Isfahan area rug. The wool area rug features a curvilinear star medallion with florals, lancet leaves, and vines over a cobalt field. The palette is cobalt, cerulean, red, and ivory. Spandrels feature ornate vining and floral accents. Framing the field are compound, resolved floral borders including a herati primary border over cobalt. This item is tagged to the underside.
