A limited edition serigraph on paper, titled Hippo by listed German artist Otmar Alt (born 1940). The piece is captured with brightly colored abstract shapes against a pink and blue marbleized background. The central figure, a black animal with a pink nose, appears to have a mouth full of flowers. The work is numbered 2/100, signed ‘O. Alt’, and dated ‘1971’ in pencil to the lower margin. This print is presented behind glass in a black frame with a white mat, and has a wire for hanging.

Condition

- some loss of color to lower left; paper is warping under mat; glass has scratches; frame is worn.
