A hand knotted Bakhtiari runner rug. This rug features a series of three ogee shaped memling guls in a palette of red and blue. The red field has a series of rosettes in a palette of red and blue. The rug has a compound border in a similar palette. The main border has a curled leaf pattern on a light blue field. The rug has a natural warp fringe to either end. The rug has a tag to the reverse indicating it is a Bakhtiari rug made in Iran.
