A hand knotted Bakhtiari area rug. This rug features a ogee shaped central medallion and corner spandrels in a palette of red, blue, cream and green. The red field has a floral pattern of lotuses, daisies and botehs in a palette of red, green and orange. The rug has a compound border in a similar palette. The main border has a lotus and boteh pattern on a red field. The rug has a natural warp fringe to either end. The rug has a tag to the reverse indicating it is a Bakhtiari rug made in Iran.
