Hand Knotted Qum Area Rug

A hand knotted Qum area rug. This rug features a central medallion and corner spandrels in a palette of reds, blues and creams. The cream field has an arabesque pattern with rosettes throughout in a palette of red and blue. The rug has a compound border in a similar palette. The main border has a pattern of daisies and shah abasi palmettes on a red field. The rug has a natural warp fringe to either end. The rug has a tag to the reverse indicating it is a Qum rug made in Iran.
