Three Mid-Century "Home" Cross Stitch Samplers

Item Details

A selection of three home-themed cross stitched artworks produced in 1944. This selection features one with a house and poem ‘Dear House you are so very small Just big enough for love that’s all’. Also included is a piece with a short staircase in a blooming garden, and a poem ‘Home is where the heart is love is where the home is’; as well as a piece with a red-roofed house, and the message ‘Let me live in the house by the side of the road and be a friend to man’. Each of these have wires affixed to their versos, and have attribution written in blue pen along tape to the verso.
