Pair of Vintage Chinese Republic Period Yongsheng Black and White Porcelain Urns
Item Details
A pair of Chinese Republic period (1912-1949) urns, with a European style depiction. Marked to the bottom ’Yong sheng tang zhi” (永勝堂製), which has been identified by some scholars as the hallmark of the Yongsheng (Eternal Victory) Ornamented Porcelain Factory (永勝彩瓷廠), which started to produce wares in the early Republic in Hong Kong.
Condition
- crazing and other wear consistent with age and use.
