Antique Chinese Brass Dragon Motif Buckle

Item Details

An antique Chinese brass buckle. This rectangular piece features an elaborate dragon motif to front. Buckle has a slide closure and metal loops to sides. There are remnants of a Chinese character on the slide insert. The versos of each piece are marked with the previous museum inventory numbers.

Collected in the late 19th and early 20th century and donated to a Private Midwestern Institution in 1938
Sold to enhance and preserve the Institution’s mission-relevant Collections
