Robert E. Doney Original Landscape Oil Painting "Rinker's Farm"

An original oil painting on linen canvas, Rinker’s Farm, by listed artist Robert E. Doney (American, 1923-2007). The painting depicts a snowy mountain landscape with a frozen creek, bare trees and several farm buildings. It is signed to the lower right ‘Doney’, and is presented in a cherry colored wood frame. Included with the painting is a variety of memorabilia, offset lithograph prints of some of the artist’s other paintings, a photograph of the artist, and a handwritten letter from the artist, explaining his work and some history of the painting. The painting has a wire attached to the back and is ready to hang.

Robert E. Doney was from Pennsylvania, and was a plein aire painter who worked in the impressionist style. He studied at the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, and at Columbia Teacher’s College in New York. He was also a teacher for twenty-seven years. He has received numerous awards, including awards from The American Watercolor Society, The Allentown (Pennsylvania) Art Museum, and The Rehoboth Art League.
