The black field has a pattern of shah abasi palmettes and lanceolate leaves in a palette of earth tones. The rug has a compound border in a similar palette. The main border has a lotus pattern on a cream field. The rug has a tag to the reverse indicating it is a machine made rug made in Turkey.
