A group of Grace S. Putnam German dolls. This grouping of dolls include the three sizes the dolls come in. These _Bye Lo-baby dolls were released in 1923 by designer Grace S. Putnam and were designed to resemble three-day-old babies. The smallest and medium doll have bisque heads with composite hands and sleep eyes. The large baby has a bisque head and hands but the eyes are fixed and do not blink. Each baby bears a maker’s imprint to the back of the head.
Condition
- shows wear consistent with use and age including paint loss, all dolls have some paint loss to eyelids and the large dolls eyes are stuck open, two dolls have cry boxes that do not work and one does not have a cry box indicating that the original body has been replaced.
