An original ink painting by Cincinnati surrealism artist Evelyn Marx (1901-1996), titled Egyptian Dreamers. This vibrant, and imaginative depiction was created in the 1980s, and features images of Egyptian mythology as being seen through a child’s dreams. Completed in a palette of blue, beige, orange, red, burgundy and yellow; hand signed ‘Marx’ to the lower left. Evelyn Marx studied at the University of Cincinnati, her works can be found in many prominent collections, including the Cincinnati Art Museum. Hanging wire and original gallery purchase sticker is to the verso.
