Antique Chinese Bronze Lotus-Shaped Bowl and Spoon

Item Details

An antique Chinese bronze lotus flower-shaped bowl and spoon. This piece features a bowl with delicately cast petals in the shape of a blooming lotus. It rests upon three ball-shaped feet. Also ncluded is a small bronze spoon with floral detail to handle. The bowl is marked to the underside with indistinct Chinese characters.

Collected in the late 19th and early 20th century and donated to a Private Midwestern Institution in 1938
