A hand knotted Kurdish area rug. The navy field has a geometric pattern in a palette of reds and greens. Part of rug shows abrash where the dye lots were changed. The rug has a compound border in a similar palette. The main border has an ornate geometric pattern on a pale red field. The rug has a natural warp fringe to either end. The rug has a tag to the reverse indicating it is a Kurdish rug made in Iran.
