A lead crystal assortment including pieces from Poland and East Germany. The five items in this lot include a compote dish, a bowl, a bud vase, a cruet, and a cylindrical flower vase. The compote dish with a scalloped, serrated rim is placed over an ornate column standing on a round pedestal decorated with a meander design and supported on four ornate feet. The compote dish and the bowl with a starburst design at the base are unmarked. The bud vase in the shape of a decanter is marked with a sticker ‘Polonia – Lead Crystal – 24% PbO – Made In Poland’. The salt shaker, which is unmarked, has tight diamond cuts to the sides and a flared design to the base. The vase with an etched floral motif climbing the sides, and a flared mouth is marked with a sticker ‘Lausitzer Glas – Lead Crystal – 24% lead oxide – hand-cut – Made in German Democratic Republic’.
