A hand knotted Sharad area rug. This rug features a central diamond shaped medallion in a palette of blue and pink. The cream field has an arabesque pattern with shah abasi palmettes cattered throughout in a palette of blue and pink. The rug has a compound border in a similar palette. The main border has a lotus flower pattern on a midnight field. The rug has a natural warp fringe to either end. The rug has a tag to the reverse indicating it is a Sharad rug made in India.
