Native American Influenced Pieces Featuring Nemadji and Frankoma

A group of Native American inspired pieces. A decorative plate by enamel artist Annemarie Davidson features an enameled Eagle Dancer Kachina over a blue background. Also included is a vintage, round Frankoma ceramic trivet depicting the Cherokee alphabet, which was invented by famous half Cherokee warrior, soldier, inventor, and teacher, Sequoyah, in 1825. This was the first written language ever invented by an North American tribe. The underside provides brief history about the language. A vase by Nemadji Pottery is also included, with swirling tones of red, orange, blue, and green.
