A hand knotted Lillihan area rug. This rug features two large medallions with integrated lotus flowers in a palette of red, blue and pink. The red field has a pattern of floral sprays with corner spandrels in a palette of blue, green and pink. The rug has a compound border in a similar palette. The main border has a carnation pattern on a red field. The rug has a natural warp fringe to either end. The rug has a tag to the reverse indicating it is a Lillihan rug made in Iran.
