A hand knotted Bakhtiari area rug. This rug features a set of three hooked guls in the center of the rug in a palette of earth tones. The brown field has a pattern of flowers and animals in a palette of earth tones. The rug has a compound border in a similar palette. The main border has an eight pointed star pattern pattern on a cream field. The rug has a natural warp fringe to either end. The rug has a tag to the reverse indicating it is a Bakhtiari rug made in Iran.
