A hand knotted Sirjan area rug. This rug features a geomtric central medallion with eight points in a palette of black, purple and white. The red field has a pattern of flower chains in a palette of red, blue and yellow with blue corner spandrels. The rug has a compound border in a similar palette. The main border has a carnation pattern on a white field. The rug has a natural warp fringe to either end. The rug has a tag to the reverse indicating it is a Sirjan rug made in Iran.
