A hand knotted Heriz-style area rug. This rug features a central medallion in a palette of blue and pink. The navy field has a pattern of palmettes in a palette of pink, blue and cream. The rug has a compound border in a similar palette. The main border has a lotus blossom palmette pattern on a cream field. The rug has a natural warp fringe to either end. The rug has a tag to the reverse indicating it was made in Romania.
