A hand knotted Kurdish area rug. This rug features a geometric design in a palette of green, blue and red. The red field has triangular spandrels in the corners in a palette of blue and brown. The rug has a compound border with zig zag patterns in a similar palette. The main border has a pattern on a field. The rug has a natural warp fringe to either end. The rug has a tag to the reverse indicating it is a Kurdi rug made in Iran.
