Antique Chinese Brass Buckle

An antique Chinese brass buckle. This brass constructed piece features Chinese ‘double happiness’ symbols (囍 shuangxi) to both halves flanked by a pair of bats, a rebus meaning “may you have double blessings” (雙福 shuang fu). The piece has a lingzhi shaped hook closure. 1938.18.a & b
