An antique Tibetan brass vajra-handled ghanta ritual bell. The bell features a vajra handle, symbolic of both the thunderbolt of enlightenment and the diamond-like indestructibility of truth, it is one of the most important symbols of Vajrayana Buddhism. A single, serene face further embellishes the handle. The body of the bell displays raised designs of Tibetan lettering and ornamental elements. 1938.0350
